So I know I’ve done a giveaway of a wineglass before, well I’m doing another one, this time one made by my mom.
We were on the phone and I was like “But MOOOOOOOOOOM you act like Gina is baby Jesus and you don’t even know Karina’s birthday and will you make a wineglass for my blog readers since I still haven’t seen the one you made me (coming in my Christmas package) and the crafting gene skipped a generation?” And she agreed to make a wineglass for one of you. My mommy’s so nice. And pretty. Isn’t she pretty?
Side note: So my mom “plays her numbers” and my dad one day asked her why she kept playing the number 15. I can only imagine the look my mom gave him and she was like “ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU HAVE ONE GRANDCHILD AND YOU DON’T KNOW HER BIRTHDAY? WHAT KIND OF MONSTER ARE YOU?” and my dad was like “I’m pretty sure Karina’s birthday is the 18th” and my mom was like “You are wrong and Krista is going to hate you” and she continued on thinking my dad was an asshole and one day they asked me. Guess who was wrong? My mom. In her defense the 15th was my due date which is probably why it stuck in her head.
Anyway, my mom is really crafty she used to make matching bows for my sister and I. I wish I had a picture. But I do not. And she would make wreaths and all sorts of cute little things when we were little, and now that we are older she is getting back into it. I can’t even make a basic bow, I do not have that kind of patience.
I asked her to send me some pictures and she was like “Go read my blog, I have pictures there.” This from the woman who washes and probably puts away her other adult daughter’s clothes. Kids once you move out your mom won’t even text you pictures of things she’s made, but in the same breath that she tells you no she will tell you that she just finished making cupcakes for your sister’s coworkers. This really happens. But it’s okay, you know you have the upper hand because you don’t have to live with your younger brother. You would be stress baking if you had to deal with him too. My mother is a saint she has 2 out of 3 of her kids at home when she should be an empty nester.
How cute is that? That is a wineglass she made for her boss/friend, her name obviously starts with a D.
This is my wineglass when she was still working on it. She asked me what I liked but let’s be real she already knew. No orange, preferable blue or purple and she even threw my favorite design on there, the fleur-de-lis.
And these are the coffee mugs she made for my grandparents.
My mom promises she will make one of my lucky readers a wineglass made with love.
